(Producers) work to fulfill the Agency---s sales goals for auto,
home, commercial, and life insurance products in the
Columbia/Ellicott City market for the Kirkland Farmers Agency.
Producers are responsible for contacting leads, developing lead
sources and other referral bases so they can provide the customer
quotes for our products. They will cold - call, follow up on leads,
set appointments and hold appointments to present our products to
customers. They will communicate with internal and external
customers about basic underwriting guidelines, policies and
marketing initiatives to ensure policies are issued and service
customer accounts. Additionally, Producers represent the Agency
within the community by developing relationships with civic
organizations and other community groups. Some noteworthy

employees nationwide. Responsibilities As an Agency Producer you
will support the sales, cross-sell, customer retention and customer
service goals of the Insurance Agency. You will do so by calling on
prospective clients and generating new sales leads while also
developing a deeper relationship with existing customer accounts.
Leads will be provided to you, but you will also work to generate
warmer sales leads through your own personal networking and
prospecting. Essential Job Functions --- Utilizing Agency marketing
systems, or those you may develop, to solicit and sell Insurance
and related products --- Coordinating with the agent and/or
operations manager to provide assistance in determining proper
coverage. --- Providing excellent customer service to policyholders
--- Attending networking and/or community events --- Educating and
assisting customers --- Maintaining knowledge of new products and
initiatives. Pursuing a program for development of personal and
business skills. Requirements The qualified Insurance Sales
Representative candidate will have at least a high school diploma,
although a college degree is preferred. The ideal Insurance Sales
Representative will also have: --- Sales and/or customer service
experience --- Excellent communication skills --- both written and
verbal --- Entrepreneurial spirit with a fearless and positive
attitude --- Self-motivation and goal-orientation --- Strong
organizational, time management and follow-through skills ---
Desire to continually learn new products and services --- Desire to
be active in the community --- Basic computer skills, basic math
skills, strong analytical capability, conflict resolution skills
and strong verbal and written communication skills. --- Good credit
history --- A favorable criminal record --- no Felonies Property &
Casualty or Life License Preferred Note: This position may require
having the flexibility to work nonstandard hours/shifts and having
the ability to adhere to a structured schedule. Compensation-
commission based plus base salary
