Job Description:
The Solar Install Retention Specialist is responsible for
improving customer retention throughout the solar installation
process by delivering proactive communication, resolving concerns,
and ensuring a seamless customer experience from contract signing
to system activation. This role plays a critical part in
maintaining customer satisfaction, reducing cancellations, and
supporting operational efficiency in the solar project
pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during the
solar installation process, ensuring consistent communication and
updates.
Monitor customer accounts for potential risks of cancellation or
dissatisfaction, and take proactive measures to address
concerns.
Collaborate with sales, project management, and installation teams
to resolve scheduling, permitting, and technical issues that could
impact customer retention.
Develop and implement customer engagement strategies to reinforce
the value of their solar investment.
Track and report on retention metrics, customer feedback, and
resolution timelines to identify trends and improve processes.
Escalate critical customer issues to appropriate departments and
follow through to resolution.
Educate customers about installation timelines, product features,
warranties, and post-installation services.
Contribute to process improvements that enhance the overall
customer experience and increase retention rates.
Maintain accurate records in CRM and other tracking systems.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in
Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of customer service, account management, or retention
experience; solar or renewable energy industry experience a
plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and
verbal.
Proven ability to de-escalate issues and maintain positive customer
relationships.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving
skills.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and
Microsoft Office Suite.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
