Regulatory Specialist for a Managing Scientist level role for our
Center for Chemical Regulation and Food Safety to be based in our
Washington, DC office. The individual in this position will be
responsible for providing support for regulatory submissions to the
United States Food and Drug Administration Center for Veterinary
Medicine (FDA CVM). This person will have opportunities to
collaborate with other regulatory and technical experts across
Exponent practice areas.You will be responsible for
- Providing FDA strategy and regulatory support for veterinary
products (food additives, animal feed, and veterinary medicines),
including managing and organizing pre-market approval projects for
these products
- Supporting other FDA/EPA projects as appropriate
- Managing and tracking client projects, project deliverables,
invoices, and budgets
- Developing new business and marketing clients
- Drafting, editing, and proofreading complex regulatory and
technical reports
- Interacting directly with clients and regulators
- Synthesizing technical and regulatory information for clients
and regulatorsYou will have the following skills and qualifications
- DVM preferred; Ph.D. in science-related field; Master's degree
with relevant post-graduate experience also considered
- Five (5) or more years of FDA CVM regulatory experience. This
position requires knowledge, solid understanding, and practical
experience with U.S. FDA CVM regulations for veterinary
products.
- Consulting experience preferred (but not required)
- Excellent verbal communication skills with an expectation that
you can lead presentations to internal colleagues, clients, and/or
regulators
- Strong writing and editing skills are required, with an
expectation of being able to independently prepare regulatory and
technical documents
- Project management skills, including budget tracking and
invoicing a plus
- Entrepreneurial spirit is a plus
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable, effective
with time management, and capable of working independently and
cooperatively in diverse team settings
- Strong ability to prioritize multiple projects with competing
deadlines

with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed
and with the professional standards set by Exponent. At the Manager
level and above total compensation includes base salary, annual
bonus, and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.The
base salary range for this position is dependent on experience and
capabilities, which will be assessed during the interview
process.Salary RangeUSD $130,000.00 - USD $176,800.00 /Yr.Benefits
