Job Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Accurately process and document inbound material, equipment, and supplies. Perform any transactions from inbound receipt of material to use of material. Other duties assigned by department manager as needed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Potential to acquire PIV License
• Receiving transaction for all inbound material, equipment or supplies using computer or handheld device. Prepare inventory tags to accurately track material.
• Compare inbound physical inventory to BOL or packing list to validate accurate inventory levels
• Track inbound trailers to facility and helps organize unloading process
• Stocks and issues materials or merchandise
• Deliver items to departments or storage area
• Communicates differences in actual inventory and issue to supervisor, lead person, or other to prevent future problems and keep inventory accurate
• Notifies buyer department of problems or discrepancies with received orders
  • Regular/dependable attendance required
  • Flexibility of work hours including overtime
  • Able to work with and around moving equipment
    
    SKILLS AND TALENTS:
    
    • Able to work with minimal supervision
    • Ability to clearly communicate to internal and external customers.
    • Mathematical aptitude including familiarity with unit of measure conversions
    • Knowledge of inventory principles and practices
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
    • Problem solving, Organization Skills, Attention to Detail & Decision making/problem solving skills
    • Computer skills including use of oracle, outlook, excel and word.
    • Safety/Quality awareness

      • Display average coordination with each hand on a continuous basis while performing job tasks.
      • Perform elevated work on an occasional basis when handling products.
      • Stoop, kneel or squat on an occasional basis when handling products.
