The ideal applicant would be flexible, outgoing, and enjoy spending time in the community. At Penn-Mar Human Services, Direct Support Professionals (Also known as Direct Support, DSP, Residential Assistant, Home Health, Caregiver, CNA ) will provide support to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities daily as they work on individualized goals. The DSP will actively work with individuals to maintain and improve levels of skill and/or independence. DSP will work with various individuals in a variety of home and community settings, in both small group and 1:1 situations. The DSP will encourage attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion, contribution, and/or employment. Must be flexible and able to work independently
Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License with 2 yrs. experience, and less than 3 moving violations (NO Major Violations, D.U.I's, Suspensions) in the previous 36 month
Ability to pass pre-employment Background Check/Drug Screen/ Physical/ Mantoux Test (PPD, TB)
The position does include personal vehicle use, with mileage reimbursement
