JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Smeal College of Business Professional Graduate Programs Office is seeking candidates for the role of Associate Director of Resident Professional Graduate Admissions. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, this position is primarily responsible for meeting graduate student admissions objectives for the full-time Resident MBA Program and multiple one-year residential Masters programs in Accounting, Business Analytics, Finance, Management, and Real Estate. Ideal candidate will assist with developing recruiting strategy, evaluating applications, interviewing candidates (in-person and virtually), discussing recommendations, and making admission and financial aid decisions. This position is also responsible for helping develop and manage marketing strategy, building relationships with external partners, advising students and families on program offerings, alumni outreach, planning recruiting events, and representing the Smeal Professional Graduate Program portfolio at recruiting fairs and events both on-campus and across the U.S. This position will supervise between 1 and 4 student workers to support on-campus recruiting events.

Requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference will be given to candidates with a proven history of relationship building experience; strong oral and written communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines; ability to work with diverse audiences; experience coordinating travel and recruiting resources; and the ability to work independently and collaboratively while traveling. Knowledge of Penn State systems (GRADS, 25 Live, ERS, LionPATH) and of Salesforce.com are beneficial. This position requires operation of a motor vehicle as a part of the job duties and working some nights and weekends for special events. Domestic travel is required during peak recruiting times. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
