JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Brandywine is seeking student applicants for a
Virtual Summer Youth Program Aide. This position will report to the
Director of Workforce and Innovation and will support the virtual
summer youth programs delivered by the campus.
Summer Youth Program Aide Job Responsibilities:
Provide support for virtual youth programs such as recording
registrations, scheduling workshops, and assisting with the
management of the virtual summer youth experiences.
Engaging in email and telephone communication with parents and
students who are interested in signing up for these programs.
Responsible for sending program supplies to enrolled
Write news releases, social media posts, and assist with general
marketing to increase enrollments
Provide technical support during virtual experiences
Work cooperatively with other staff and class instructors on
planning and conducting programs, activities, and other special
Assist in reaching new audiences in accordance with Penn State
University Affirmative Action Policy.
Submit work time by due date.
Establish and maintain summer files.
- Complete end of summer reports of time, contracts, and impact
This position is open to current Penn State students. This is a
15-week position beginning in May and ending in late August, with
some flexibility depending upon availability of the applicant.
Hours are variable but are anticipated to be approximately 10-15
hours per week.
Summer Youth Program Aide Qualifications:
Position requires excellent organizational and time management
skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to plan
and successful execute virtual events. Must be a team player who
can work with diverse youth and adults. Previous experience with
event planning and virtual youth programming is a plus.
