About Retail Business Services

Retail Business Services is the services company of leading grocery retail group Ahold Delhaize USA, providing services to five omnichannel grocery brands: Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford and Stop Requirements Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelors; Advanced degree preferred; or equivalent in a relevant field
  • 12+ years of experience. Experience is usually gained within multiple business units already having gained extensive functional experience previously
  • Experience working in a global multi-vendor / shared services environment
  • Business process outsourcing oversight experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Assessment of the problem involves analysis of numerous factors, both internal and external to the project / function in order to solve extremely complex problems. Often involves consideration of untested and evolving technologies, processes and methodologies. Applies high level of expertise and core competencies gathered across large segments of the business unit or function to solve problems.
  • Promotes an effective project / functional environment. Plans and assigns broad objectives across multiple projects / functions and ensures implementation through other leaders. Actively leads through vision, providing leadership for project / function through direct application of expertise, through consultation with others and/or through leadership team. (For people management jobs; selects, trains and evaluates leadership team. Typically manages an organization through one or more managers.
  • Decisions directly support the overall strategy and direction of organizational objectives. Poor decisions impact overall financial and business unit results, can cause additional expenditure of resources, and introduce business risk / loss. Makes decisions by applying advanced principles, theories and concepts requiring extensive expertise and business acumen. Receives strategic direction for long-range goals in the form of broad business objectives. Autonomously defines long-range business plan.
  • Effective internal and external interactions secured through exemplary influencing skills are required to achieve major goals of the business unit. Interactions contribute to high level identification, commitment and implementation of project and/or functional initiatives.
  • Has depth and breadth of expertise from multiple areas / disciplines and applies that expertise to the overall project/ function. Has extensive relevant experience in finance operations with a history of successfully running procure to pay finance operations.
