JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Administrative Support Coordinator performs a wide variety
of complex administrative and office functions and specialized
technical support for our complex Research Division within the
Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the
College of Medicine as well as support to select clinical faculty.
Role entails setting priorities, coordinating, planning,
prioritizing, solving problems and being proactive to our research
needs. This role will assist in the daily, weekly, monthly,
quarterly, and yearly administrative tasks for the research
division and is responsible for research office coordination to
include purchasing support.
Role will specifically assist Dr. Vaida (Vice Chair, Research
and Director of OB Anesthesia), Dr. Bezinover (Director of
Transplant Anesthesia) as well as 6 clinical faculty and 6 basic
science faculty in making traveling arrangements as well as
processing all reimbursements related to their professional roles;
schedule and prepare meeting materials for all supported faculty
members; submit dossier information for supported faculty; prepare
AC40 evaluations for Vice Chair, process and administers promotion
and tenure documents/packets; publicizes, and coordinates special
research events and activities, such as the annual Resident
research day and the Pennsylvania Area Resident Research
Conferences (PARRC). Reviews various reports, publications,
speeches, and articles; receives, verifies and validates research
and other information; posting/binding of publications, prepares
statistical slides for annual State of Department address.
Coordinate communications/meetings with faculty & residents
regarding resident research projects. Assist in obtaining quotes
and capital equipment purchases related to the research division.
Maintain and audit research inventory assets.
Position requires an Associate's degree or higher plus three
years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of
education and experience.
This is a fixed term appointment funded for one year from date
of hire with possibility of refunding after that year.
