The Office of Counseling Services at Penn State Berks is currently looking for a Mental Health Counselor/Case Manager. This is a part-time position, with approximately 20-24 hours per week beginning in mid-August and running through mid-May.

The Mental Health Counselor/Case Manager will provide counseling and psychological services for students that seek help for emotional and behavioral concerns, evaluate students for potential need of referral to a more appropriate service provider and facilitate referral if needed, facilitate psychoeducational groups and collaborate on campus programming related to mental health, assist students in need of local community resources, partner with supervisor and other campus staff to coordinate urgent mental health crisis services, consult with members of campus community on issues of care and concern, actively participate in professional associations and training sessions.

Requires a Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, or related discipline, plus two years of related experience. Current professional licensure is also required.

This job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances:

  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
  • FBI Criminal Background Check.
