Job Description Job Description Job Title: Material Handler Job Description The Warehouse Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse. This includes handling, storing, and shipping products, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Tasks include dealing with plastic sheeting. Responsibilities Unload, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments. Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate counts and proper storage. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Complete necessary paperwork and electronic records for inventory and shipping. Essential Skills 1-3 years of Manufacturing and/or Distribution and Logistics experience. 1-3 years of sit down forklift experience. 1-3 years of palletizing, inventory, picking, and/or staging experiences. 1 years of Warehouse Management System (WMS) experiences. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Experience in inventory control, quality assurance, picking, and packing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous warehouse experience preferred. Basic computer skills for inventory management. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Environment Work with 270 internal employees spread over 3 buildings. Experience a mix of inside and outside work environments while working as part of a team within a distribution assisting manufacturing facility. The schedule is Monday to Friday with two shifts: 1st shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm and 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 11 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kutztown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.50/hr.
