Opportunity: The Physical Security Information System Security
Engineer (ISSE) provides dedicated, daily onsite security oversight
in direct support of the Department of the Air Force’s Enterprise
IT as a Service (EITaaS) initiative. As EITaaS continues to
modernize and transform the Air Force’s enterprise IT environment,
this role ensures that all classified and secure spaces supporting
the program maintain continuous compliance with DAF security
directives, accreditation requirements, and mission protection
standards. Operating across two key EITaaS hubs—Chantilly, VA and
Oklahoma City, OK—the ISSE maintains persistent situational
awareness of secure facility operations, enabling uninterrupted
mission execution. This position ensures that all physical,
procedural, and secure space controls remain aligned with DAF
policy, DoD security frameworks, and program?specific accreditation
baselines essential to sustaining EITaaS operational readiness.
Responsibilities: Maintain daily oversight of secure?space
operations at CWA and OKC, ensuring continuous alignment with
Department of the Air Force EITaaS mission requirements and full
compliance with DCSA physical security standards, DAF secure?space
governance, and all accreditation conditions supporting enterprise
IT modernization. Coordinate with building security, government
security officials, and EITaaS program personnel to sustain a
stable, compliant, and mission?aligned secure?space environment in
support of Department of the Air Force enterprise IT operations.
Maintain readiness to execute DAF emergency response actions and
ensure uninterrupted continuity of EITaaS services during security
events, facility disruptions, or mission?impacting incidents.
Support the development, refinement, and enforcement of Department
of the Air Force and EITaaS enterprise security policies,
standards, and implementation guidance. Ensure all governance
artifacts align with DAF cybersecurity directives, DoD security
frameworks, and EITaaS program requirements that shape how secure
enterprise IT services are delivered, operated, and sustained
across the Air Force. Manage physical access for employees,
visitors, and contractors in support of Department of the Air Force
EITaaS operations, including issuing and revoking credentials,
maintaining accurate access records, and enforcing DAF?mandated
escort and accountability procedures to protect mission?critical
secure spaces. Maintain accurate, audit?ready records of all
secure?space access activities to support Department of the Air
Force governance and EITaaS mission requirements. Assist the ISSO
in collecting, organizing, and validating security artifacts
required for DAF and DCSA accreditation packages, ATO sustainment,
and ongoing compliance activities. Provide coordinated security
support to both the CWA and OKC EITaaS facilities, ensuring a
unified, mission?aligned security posture across geographically
separated Department of the Air Force locations and maintaining
consistent implementation of DAF and program?level security
requirements. Travel to the OKC EITaaS site as required to support
Department of the Air Force inspections, audits, accreditation
activities, and operational mission needs, ensuring consistent
security posture and readiness across both program locations.
Manage COMSEC material for the CWA and OKC EITaaS sites, ensuring
full accountability, distribution control, and safeguarding of
TACLANEs, vIPer phones, and cryptographic keying material. Enforce
all Department of the Air Force and NSA COMSEC policies, promote
proper handling and storage practices, and ensure timely reporting
and documentation to maintain mission?ready secure communications
capabilities. Monitor server?room environmental conditions at CWA
and OKC, including temperature alerts, humidity levels, and
equipment health, to ensure mission?ready infrastructure that
supports Department of the Air Force EITaaS operations and prevents
disruptions to critical enterprise IT services. Respond to security
alarms during and after business hours, including physical response
to the secure space when required, to ensure continuous protection
of Department of the Air Force assets and uninterrupted support to
EITaaS mission operations. Serve as the onsite point of contact for
all CWA security matters, managing visitor control, contractor
escort into the secure space, and access authorization in alignment
with Department of the Air Force and EITaaS security requirements
to safeguard mission?critical environments and ensure consistent
secure?space governance. Oversee issuance, tracking, secure
storage, and lifecycle management of SecureView devices across both
CWA and OKC facilities. Maintain user agreements, custody logs, and
accountability records for all assigned personnel to ensure
compliance with Department of the Air Force and EITaaS security and
asset?management requirements. Qualifications: Required: Active
Secret clearance with the ability to maintain eligibility for
continued access to classified systems, secure facilities, and
mission?critical environments in support of Department of the Air
Force and EITaaS program requirements. 12 Years of relevant
experience (Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field may be substituted
for 5 years of relevant experience). Minimum of 5 years of
experience in physical security, secure?facility operations, or
classified program support within a DoD, Intelligence Community, or
defense?industry environment, with demonstrated familiarity
supporting Department of the Air Force mission needs and
enterprise?level programs such as EITaaS. Hands?on experience
operating and maintaining secure spaces (SIPR?accredited rooms and
Open Storage areas), including daily operations, access control,
and compliance with DCSA and Department of the Air Force
requirements to support mission?critical EITaaS activities.
Proficiency with physical security standards such as DoDM 5205.07
Vol. 1–4, ICD 705, DoDM 5105.21, and DCSA Assessment &
Authorization criteria, with the ability to apply these
requirements within Department of the Air Force and EITaaS
secure?facility operations. Familiarity with COMSEC procedures,
keying?material handling, and secure?equipment lifecycle
management, with the ability to apply NSA, DCSA, and Department of
the Air Force requirements across EITaaS mission environments.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively
engage leadership and government officials, demonstrating sound
judgment, professionalism, and the highest standards of ethics in
all security?related interactions. Ability to coordinate
effectively with DCSA, government security officials, and internal
stakeholders to maintain accreditation, address compliance
findings, and ensure continuous alignment with Department of the
Air Force and EITaaS security requirements. Strong attention to
detail and excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate
records, documentation, and audit?ready security artifacts in
support of Department of the Air Force and EITaaS program

final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location,
Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage
