Job Description:
Amazon Web Services (AWS), a leader in cloud computing
platforms, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commissioning
Engineer for the AMER-East ACx team. This role is essential for the
successful deployment and operation of data center infrastructure.
The Commissioning Engineer will be tasked with overseeing the
setup, testing, and validation of various systems within AWS's
expansive data center operations. This position interacts directly
with internal teams and external contractors to ensure that all
technical standards and AWS protocols are adhered to, facilitating
a seamless launch of operations. Develop, implement, and oversee
commissioning plans for data center equipment and systems.
Coordinate with construction, engineering, and operations teams to
ensure standards are met. Validate and document system performance
against AWS's rigorous benchmarks. Troubleshoot and resolve system
failures or deficiencies. Monitor all phases of construction to
ensure infrastructure meets design and operational requirements.
Participate in routine preventive maintenance scheduling. Compile
and submit reports on commissioning progress and areas for
improvement. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and
control systems vital to data center operations. Proficiency in
interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents. Proven
ability to manage projects, from inception to completion. Solid
understanding of energy management systems. Excellent analytical,
diagnostic, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and
teamwork abilities. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Commissioning Professional
(CCP) or equivalent preferred. Project Management Professional
(PMP) certification is a plus. Familiarity with AWS cloud
infrastructure and IT service management standards such as ISO/IEC
20000.
