Job Description:

and skilled Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Registered Nurse (WOCN)
to join our team. This specialized role focuses on patient-centered
care, addressing and managing wound healing, ostomy care, and
continence for patients across a variety of settings. Our

healthcare services. As a WOCN with MedStar Health, you will play a
critical role in enhancing patient outcomes, providing expert
guidance, and upholding high standards of care in our facilities.
Assess and identify patient needs related to wound, ostomy, and
continence care. Develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care for
patients in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. Provide
direct patient care and counseling to patients and their families.
Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff about prevention
and maintenance techniques for effective wound, ostomy, and
continence management. Stay updated with the latest practices and
technologies in the field through continual professional
development. Record, maintain, and update patient records
accurately and comply with healthcare regulations. Strong clinical
skills in wound, ostomy, and continence care Excellent
communication and educational skills Proficiency in using
healthcare software and patient databases Ability to work
collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team Medical Insurance
