Responsibilities
The position is responsible for supervising all aspects of the
Acute Psychiatric Nursing Departments. This position functions as
the Nurse Manager and has responsibility for treatment services
provided by the nursing department for the inpatient psychiatric
programs. Primary responsibilities include: providing
administrative management, training and supervision/evaluation of
all nursing staff, house supervisors, and unit clerks (if
applicable); prioritization and delegation of duties; staff
scheduling; and performing direct patient care services in the
Nursing capacity. This individual serves as a key member of
hospital operational leadership and must work in cooperation with
physician staff and other department managers. This position also

Shippensburg, PA., our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers
acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for
adults as well as, an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for
youth ages 13-17. We also have two substance use disorder
outpatient offices located in Carlisle and Chambersburg. Our

Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements: Graduate of an accredited
registered nursing program required, with a degree in psychiatric
or mental health nursing or its equivalent preferred; or is
qualified by education and experience in the care of behavioral
healthcarea patients. Prefer 3 years experience with a co-occurring
population. Licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of
