Position SummaryInside Technical Sales position is available for
energetic sales-oriented person preferably with a mechanical
engineering, electrical engineering or industrial engineering
degree with the aptitude to sell mechanical or electrical devices
in a consultative selling environment. Thermal Devices is a growing
industrial distributor specializing in the sale and application of
industrial process heaters and process control equipment. Our
heaters and controls are used in the manufacturing of products in
industries such as rubber, glass, plastic, cement, food, chemicals,
packaging, filtration, etc.Technical Salesperson will be
responsible for taking incoming inquiries, customer support,
support of outside representatives, and for acquiring new accounts
and/or projects in accordance with the Company sales processes and
goals.Skills and CompetenciesAbility to effectively communicate
technical information primarily over the phone but also via live
chat, email, etc. Basic understanding of sales strategies is
preferred.Position Responsibilities
- Customer Product Support/Order Processing. Handle incoming
customer inquiries and process purchase orders proficiently and
efficiently.
- Sales. Develop new relationships with customers and maintain
existing relationships. Growth is the main focus.
- Customer Relations. Maintain the Company's relationships with
current customers. Develop relationships with new customers.
Educate current and potential customers about Company's
competencies.
- New Business. Identify, develop and generate new business
activity. A significant amount of time will be dedicated to
telephone prospecting, which includes but not limited to obtaining
new customers, growing existing business within current customer
base, and retaining existing customer base.
- Support. Technical support for customers and other sales
personnelCandidate RequirementsQualified candidates must currently
be living within a 45-minute drive of Mount Airy, Maryland. An
interest in B2B sales and an outgoing personality are required as
is the ability to work independently.The ability to very clearly
and effectively communicate technical information over the
telephone is critical for this position and successful candidates
will be evaluated for this particular skill in addition to the
other position requirements.If working with industrial customers in

meet you!Working ConditionsThis is a full-time exempt position in a
sales office with occasional site visits to industrial
manufacturing plants, construction sites and similar environments.
Business hours are between 8:00am to 5:00pm EST.Salary and
