Job Description:
LIU serves local schools and communities, local businesses and
nonprofit organizations, all Pennsylvania schools, Intermediate
Units and libraries via statewide programs, and federal, state and
local agencies. The Special Education Division includes Autistic
Support, Behavioral Intervention, Blind / Visually Impaired
Support, Deaf / Hard of Hearing Support, Emotional Support, Life
Skills Support, Multi-Disabilities Support, Preschool / Early
Intervention, Intensive Learning Support, along with other
services. Please read Board Policy 916 relating to Volunteers:
Forms to complete prior to applying to volunteer. You will need to
upload clearances when you apply. PA Child Abuse History Clearance
PA State Police Criminal Record Check Federal Criminal History
Record Check Please click on this link for instructions on
obtaining clearances. If you have PA Child Abuse and PA State
Police Criminal clearances dated within the past 12 months, they
may be acceptable and you should upload those documents to verify
if they are acceptable. The following are included in the
application process: Volunteer Request for Waiver of FBI-Federal
Criminal History Fingerprint Record Check (if applicable)
Acknowledgment of Volunteer Obligations Volunteer Registration Form
for LIU Classrooms & Programs Volunteer Release of Liability and
Indemnity Contract Volunteers will only be considered after
completion of the online application, including uploaded copies of
all required clearances and completion of all required forms.
