Specialist Job Description We are seeking a highly-organized and
detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Quality Control
Specialist. This position is pivotal in conducting quality control
reviews of child care fee assistance records, ensuring continuous
quality improvement in child care fee assistance programs. The role
involves reviewing applications to verify fee assistance
eligibility and documentation requirements, supporting process
improvement through sampling reviews, and identifying common errors
to facilitate ongoing staff training. Additionally, the Quality
Control Specialist serves as a resource to colleagues for
clarifying program policies and requirements. Responsibilities
Review fee assistance applications to ensure compliance with
eligibility requirements. Examine paper and electronic records to
ensure adherence to internal processes and timelines. Identify
errors using established systems. Communicate with cross-team
colleagues to resolve questions and correct errors. Provide regular
updates and reports on activities and accuracy to supervisor and
departmental leadership. Serve as an expert resource on program
policies and requirements. Assist with special projects and other
functions to support organizational objectives. Essential Skills
Proficiency in document control, quality control, and quality
assurance. Experience in data entry and case management.
Detail-oriented with technical assistance capabilities. Case review
experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Adaptability to change. Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum
of a BA/BS degree or at least one year of experience in program
administration or direct service to clients. Proficiency in
computer skills and experience with the Microsoft Office suite of
products. Exceptional interpersonal and verbal skills. Ability to
comprehend and master policies and requirements of fee assistance
programs. Proven record of achievement in meeting program
productivity goals and accuracy targets. Demonstrated reliability
and timeliness in attendance. Work Environment The position
requires picking up equipment in person. Training hours are
in-office from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Thursday, for a
duration of two weeks to a month, with no training on Fridays. The
work schedule post-training is remote with hours from 10 or 10:30
AM to 7 PM, allowing flexibility for a one-hour or 30-minute lunch
break, as per individual preference. Job Type & Location This is a
Contract position based out of Arlington, VA. Pay and Benefits The
pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility
requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to
