Job Description Job Description Sparks Group has partnered with a renowned government transportation contractor to seek a highly skilled and results-oriented Senior Advisory Manager. This role involves a comprehensive range of responsibilities, related to providing senior management level guidance and understanding for implementing and/or supporting the following GASB pronouncements in financial statement initiatives. You will play a crucial role in optimizing processes and efficiencies, providing high-level advisory support for audits, financial reviews and reporting. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical guidance and implementation support for major GASB pronouncements, including GASB 87, 94, 96, 101, 103, and 104 Lead and support all aspects of Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) preparation, including notes, exhibits, and the Letter of Transmittal Perform technical accounting research, interpret new standards, and deliver clear recommendations for financial reporting and analysis Prepare and review MD&A and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GASB and GAAP requirements Serve as a key liaison with internal and external auditors, coordinating audit support, organizing documentation, and resolving findings Key Requirements: CPA required with 8 years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience Minimum 2 years at a Senior Manager level, supporting public sector, government, or complex regulatory engagements 4 years of hands-on ACFR preparation and review, including GAAP and GASB implementations Strong public sector financial reporting expertise, with demonstrated experience educating and guiding staff Proven ability to manage audits, perform technical accounting research, and communicate complex guidance clearly This job is Hybrid Remote.
