We are looking for a person with an executive presence and strong tax and accounting skills. Experience in corporate tax, general ledger analysis, financial statement preparation and working with closely held businesses and their owners is a must. Our goal is to assist our clients with organizing their business and personal finances in such a way as to minimize their tax obligations to the fullest extent allowed. We are closely involved with helping our clients comply with all federal, state and local tax filing obligations.Responsibilities and Descriptions of Duties:Corporate tax expertise, including multistate and international filingsPreparation and review of federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations (both C & S), non-profits, estates and trustsTax planning for individuals, closely held businesses, and corporationsTax researchThorough understanding and experience of tax compliance requirements for all types of entities including corporations (C & S), partnerships, individuals, non-profits, estates and trustsFederal and state government audit representationSupervision of staff in accordance with the firm's policiesGood communication and organizational skillsQualifications: Applicants must possess a BS degree in Accounting from an accredited University and a current CPA License along with at least 5 to 10 years experience in tax. Must possess strong communication and analytical skills including the ability to effectively present information and respond to client's needs. Must have the ability to communicate both verbally and written, be technically competent, self-motivated and reliable to anticipate needs of clients, etc. Experience with QuickBooks and ProSeries tax software is a plus.
