We are currently looking for a Controller for our factory assembled product operations in our global Finance team located in Taneytown, Maryland.The Finance department is located in our corporate headquarters and includes Accounting, Credit, Treasury, Product Costing and FP&A. Our business is separated into products which are built in our factories and shipped to customers along with products manufactured on-site for the construction industry, most commonly in the power generation sector. Our goal is to provide exceptional and accurate service to our internal and external customers and sales representatives in support of these operations.The Controller - Factory Assembled Products is one of our two corporate controllers. They are responsible for the accounting of our on-site manufacturing locations through our shared services team of accounts receivable and accounts payable, along with our team of accountants, handling the daily operational accounting, preparing our related financial statements, and supporting activities. Job ResponsibilitiesManage A/R and A/P functions - staff of 8 who perform functions for all US locations.Manage 2 Staff Accountants and 1 Senior Accountant responsible for sales/use tax, commissions, financial statements & reports, international intercompany accounts, account reconciliations, policy creation, etc.Oversee preparation of US subsidiary/divisions IL, CA, IA, NC, TX, and PA financial statements.Prepare financial statement for the MD location.Reconcile G/L accounts on a monthly basis.Coordinate and reconcile all payroll tax payments/filings with ADP.Support performance of annual financial statement audit with external auditors.Manage Sage 100 (ERP), DocLink (document management), Certify (expense reporting) systems.Policy and procedure documentation and Tagetik (account reconciliation).Implement and oversee ongoing workflow process improvements.Involvement with initial stage of transition period leading to an ERP implementation for US operations.Maintain professional education and oversee staff development and continuing education.Occasional travel to Evapco locations required.Job Requirements4 - year Accounting DegreeCPA10+ years' experienceProject managementFinance transformationProcess managementPersonnel management experience.Long term perspective and team driven approachFully on-site in Taneytown, MD corporate headquartersEvapco is an ESOP (employee-owned) company with established profit-sharing program along with well above market retirement contributions and group insurance programs.
